Concept Project
Overview
Enigma Brewery is a project focused around branding and packaging for an idea of a San Diego beer company. The branding features fictional horror movie themed brews that are a play off of the horror films. Each beer is a different type of brew that have unique flavors and ingredients that reflect their individuality, but is cohesive all together through it's branding.
Solution
I designed the packaging to focus on the importance of unique flavors and combining them with ideas from horror films. I wanted the branding and product design of this project to make this beer company memorable and stand out from the other 155 beer competitors in San Diego. I also wanted the design of the brand to impact audiences by showing off it's style and reputation through name and imagery. By having a strong image and unique typography that accompanies it, I felt like it would further strengthen this idea.
Inspiration
I decided to take inspiration from famous horror movies and the style of their poster advertisements. I also looked into the pop culture that surrounded them and incorporated these aspects in my designs. I also wanted to use as few color palettes for each bottle’s design but make sure that the colors were bold and popped out.
