KERO MECHA TECH
Screen Printing
Concept Project

Overview
Kero Mecha Tech is a set of merchandise products that contain a tote bag, t- shirt, stickers, buttons, and prints. The products are based around the theme of Japanese build able model kits, and are branded to advertise and promote a model kit based off a fictional popular character. I came up with the brand Kero Mecha Tech, which is a play off Japanese and English meaning robot frog.
Solution
For this project I made three design variations that advertised the character’s build-able model kit. Each of the three designs are unique, yet cohesive to the overall branding of the project. The designs are broken down to what would typically be in a model kit. This includes an explanation of some parts and tools used to build the model; a design that shows the final built product of the model in an environment that it would be found in if it were a real size functioning model. The final design uses a text based design of the name of the model fused with an image that incorporates the parts that would be found in the kit.
Inspiration
For this project I was inspired by my love of building kits that I bought in Japan. I admired the versitatlity of characters that you could build, and I wanted to create my own merchandise that advertised a kit character that I created. I wanted to incorporate a fun approach to it that incorporated the materials, tools, and personality of the character into my designs.
